In spite of decreased juvenile crimes in United States in 2001, America may have been experiencing lower crime rates in every category, there is only one category where the crime rate has shot up and that was homicides committed by youths under the age of 17. We see that the murders committed by youths between 1984-1994 had tripled. There may have been a decline in the juvenile crime rate since 1984 but then, experts propose that by 2005, 25 percent of all the murders committed will be by juveniles.
Assaults committed by guns by youths had shot up in the same way as did homicides. It seems that teens have a liking towards these dangerous weapons and consider it as a cool accessory to take around with them. It is yet so common to hear about all of these today. We can definitely look at the incident of the 6-year old in northern California who almost beat to death a small baby. The baby suffered from a brain damage due to the abuse of the 6-year old. We hear all sorts of crimes. Students shooting students, students killing teachers in order to have vengeance and the most common of all, the rape cases. In the last one, we hear all sorts of cases.Teens raping teens, adults raping teens and this one is pretty common to hear these days, adults/teens raping kids....................
