Stephen Skowronek speaks of the games that the US presidents play in ‘The Politics Presidents Make: Leadership from John Adams to Bill Clinton’. Written in 1997 Skowronek gives a far-reaching denunciation of the viewpoint of Richard Neustadt with respect to the presidential leadership that he made in his book ‘Presidential Power’. Stephen confronts the assertions and views of Neustadt regarding the presidents that make a separate assemblage of officials after the FDR.
