Essay on U.S. Presidential Scandals

NSA Spy Scandal
One of the recent scandals in the US Presidential is that of the NSA Spy scandal which is considered to be a major blow to President Bush. Numerous media reports had recently uncovered disgraceful program by the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) which has been secretly collecting the details of phone calls made by tens of millions of Americans, with the help of the country’s leading telecommunication companies, AT&T, Verizon and BellSouth. Bush insistence that those leaks don’t in any way hurt national security, the scandal, the latest controversial twist to his war on terror, is likely to not sit well with the American public.

The American President had already admitted that last year he gave the NSA authorization to spy on international calls and international e-mails of people, whom he claims are suspected of having links to some terrorists organizations, without court warrants.

The uncovering of the controversial programme comes as the U.S. President George W. Bush's approval rating is at all-time lows............
