Aviation has practically revolutionized the warfare not only for American army but in world as a whole. Armies which previously used to fight with ground forces only had no direct or indirect fire support in the battle field. Invention of air craft and development of the aviation completely changed the concepts of warfare for the American forces. Becoming the direct air support available to the ground forces the warfare transformed into a new dimension by itself. It not only added towards firepower but initial use of the air force in first and second world wars showed the importance of the air power. Aircrafts were used for all possible purposes during the battles. The role of the aviation was not only to control the skies of the opponents but the information was being collected by the aircrafts.
Mobility became much faster than ever. The forces were being moved from one place to the battle field in shortest possible time. Airdropping became common practices in the battle fields. Distances became meaningless for the American forces. Forces were moved from one place to another in shortest possible time. Aviation became the winning factor during and after Second World War. Strategic bombing of German forces and of the allied forces had changed the complete battle field scenario.
