Florence Henri was born in New York City in 1893, Henri grew in Europe, where she studied music with great concentration previous to turning to painting. Education as well as travel took her to England, Italy, France and Germany. At the same time as enrolled at the Bauhaus in Dessau for one semester during the summer of 1927, she educated to understand photography as a forum for experimentation.
