Essay on Organization Behavior Importance
Organizational Behavior is an attitude with in an organization about how people, individuals, and groups act in organizations. Theories and concepts of system approach are applied to implement this behavior smoothly (Deborah, 1998). That is, it interprets people-organization relationships in terms of the whole person, whole group, whole organization, and whole social system. Its purpose is to build better relationships by achieving human objectives, organizational objectives, and social objectives. It encompasses a wide range of topics, such as human behavior, change, leadership, teams, etc.
Corporate behavior and culture is a dynamic internal force that not only affects but also affected by the organization and all aspects of its environment (Arbinger, 2002). Managers must be aware of this special relationship because the continual give and take between the organizational culture and the organization leads to changes in values and norms that become ingrained in the culture and affect all employees.
Organization’s behavior is guiding beliefs, the values that form the philosophical foundation for the organization’s direction. Guiding beliefs generally reflect the personality and goals of the founder and subsequent to managers. These guiding beliefs set the norms for everyday behavior within the organization.
Organizational behavior is a vital and expanding field dedicated to the generation of new knowledge that advances the human condition in the world. Approaching its studies of social and organizational reality from the perspective of human possibility, Organizational Behavior has relevance to society, based on our concern for and our understanding of developmental processes in persons, groups, organizations, inter-organizational systems, and the global community at large. The historical roots of the field stretch back for more than a century and span across psychiatry, individual and social psychology, sociology, social philosophy, political science, and anthropology (Deborah, 1998).
