A free market can be defined as an emporium, where price is placed by the unconventional exchange of supply and demand, rather than set by simulated means. In a more theoretical sense, a free market is a market where operations are ethically charitable and thus free from the intervention of force and fraud. Allied with the model of a free market is the laissez-faire economic philosophy. Advocates approximate conditions in the real world by detaining to government interventions, especially in economic matters where they regulate against force and fraud between market contributors. Therefore, with government force partial to a cynical role, government itself does not commence force in the marketplace and the free market is conserved.
In political economics, the free market economy is merely the abstract contrary of a power economy, where decisions concerning production, distribution, and pricing are an issue of governmental control.
