Essay on School Underachievers, Failures and Drop Out
Adolescence is a period of preparation for the roles of adulthood; considerable attention has been paid to the development and expression of achievement during these years. Most of the young people form their first realistic educational and vocational plans during adolescence. Generally motives are being set in this stage of the life.
Abilities really help an individual to achieve his/her goal. Capabilities, interests, and optimistic behavior are mainly concerned with the performance of an individual in difficult situations. Education generates a lot of abilities and capabilities in a child. The first and the foremost priority of an ideal child is concentration in the studies. Quality education is main reason behind a solid personality. School plays a great role in grooming the personality of an individual. But there are also a bunch of children who usually do not pay special attention to their studies. These students get failed in their exams because of mental illness. They are dropped from their school. And their future becomes dark for the lifetime. However some of the bright students of the school underachieve.Underachievement is epidemic and enters every classroom and many homes. Underachievement in students is mainly because of absent concentration on the studies. These kinds of teens go to school for their social life. Underachievers perform below their potential at school. They don't finish their schoolwork and homework. The main cause of underachievement is child’s reaction to pressure and interference around schoolwork. Poor grades become a way of proving their independence.
Gifted underachievers are usually lumped in with the rest of a school's malcontents.”(Overt Behavior). Underachievers usually become dull minded because of failing continuously. They are adept mainly in social activities. It becomes impossible for the schoolteachers, counselors and also for the parents to overcome underachievement in their child.......
