Essay on Challenges at Graduate School
Graduate school education basically provides opportunities to the young generation in order to prepare them as better community citizenship through challenging environments. Students must understand that graduate education is aimed at analyzing of the received knowledge through self direction and creating the knowledge. Graduate study is to understand and think critically about what all is known. Through this education the skills held are refined research is carried out and affiliation with the faculty starts developing. Once the above aim is achieved the leadership role can be well experienced in this education. Many challenges are encountered by the students at different levels of their schooling. Many students have different experiences of the graduate level education.
But all these experiences can be well divided into four broad categories. Firstly the challenges that are faced as part of the department. Secondly the students can face the challenges associated with the institute it self, thirdly the challenges faced as part of the self and finally the challenges that can be encountered after completion of the graduate level education. All the challenges are extremely learning and create opportunities for self development and play personality developing role. However the first three challenges are the most vital and students can tackle the challenges very effectively.
The first challenge that is related to the department demands strong involvement of the students in creating the sense of belonging with own department. In addition the within department relations have to be developed amongst colleagues. These relations demand a high level of personal involvement of the student in both curriculum and extra curriculum activities. This challenge can be well tackled by developing strong interpersonal relations between the different departments. Strong communication is extremely essential that can provide the opportunities to reduce the distances and can make expression easier. The ideas are presented, learnt and discussed freely and professional intellectualism is developed.............
