Essay on Reflection Paper
The beginning of a college or university level education course such as the BSM program is a milestone in a young person's life. A lot of hard work and effort as well as the sacrifice of parents or sponsors has made this possible and along with the beginning of the higher education course, there is a step into adulthood and greater independence. The education that has been embarked on will prepare the young individual for a vocation in life and it is only appropriate that efforts be made to ensure that the foundations are solid like that of a pyramid on which greater aspirations for success may be constructed. The BSM degree program is a major undertaking requiring financial expenditure as well as the devotion of a substantial amount of time. It is, therefore, only appropriate that some project planning and reflection be undertaken to determine what can be done to make a success of the mission. A sense of achievement and the aspirations of many loved ones including the parents who have worked so hard to make it all possible depend on this (Cal Poly, 2005).
Enrolment in the BSM program also occurs for most individuals at a time when they are approaching adulthood and are expected to take a greater responsibility for their life. Whereas many exciting opportunities and avenues for exploration will be presenting themselves, it is important to recognize that not all avenues in life can lead to success and happiness. Thus, whereas it is appropriate to explore, it is also better to avoid the paths to destruction which can confuse and distract the young man or woman. Balance and planning are important. Along with the hard work, there must be some play as well as exercise and exploration to build up a pattern for the future working life..........
