Essay on Teenage Library Users
The hardest thing for anyone to accomplish is the thirst of knowledge. The craving that one gets to find out about the truth of things, beyond ones scope and vision can be a frustrating task. Especially, for the younger minds that are ever plagued by questions of why, when where and how. It is nearly impossible for one to keep up with the track of these queries, due to ones own lack of knowledge.
In an age where information imparted can be verified by referring to various portals of information, it has become necessary to be as accurate as possible. Even the teachers and scholars have to keep on their toes to meet this challenging feat. There are times when, even the most literate of minds, cannot have the answers to everything on their fingertips. There is a limit to the extent of information held by the brain. Channeling the mind to do so could result in exhaustion of the cerebral cells (Sean, 2002).
Man, thereby, made use of tabulating his ideas, facts, events and theories down on various mediums. He used walls of his stone cave as the early cavemen, to write his diary of his daily life by burning in the images or using charcoal to write. This was to become the basis of the first book ever to be written (Anne, 1970).
Then, man advanced modes of writing and books came into being. Of course, he may have used leaves; tree bark even sand and dirt to chronicle his life, but these modes were highly perishable and may not have survived the winds of time.
Slabs and pillars of stone were later used by Man, which proved to be the best form of pages, which were hardly easy to destroy. But due to their heavy nature, they were not very easy to keep within ones reach............
