Essay on Important Events in the World's History
In the history of the world, there have been millions of events occurring daily. Few of these well-known ones include the World War I and the World War II. However, there has already been much spoken about it. In this report, I would like to highlight two of such events, which according to me have a great significance.
Documents of the Spanish Civil War
The Spanish Civil War was a civil war that took in Spain between rebels regarded as Nacionales and the Spanish Republic and its Republican government along with supporters. It occurred between July 1936 and April 1939 and finished in a defeat of the Republican cause, trailed by the autocracy of Francisco Franco. The number of victims has been long argued, with approximation in general varying between 500,000 and 1,000,000 people executed in the war. Many Spanish scholars and artists either were murdered or were forced into expel. The Spanish financial system required decades to make progress.
The Spanish Civil War flashed fervent attention among the international scholar and political groups of people. The Leftist government of the Spanish Republic was overwhelmed by Nationalist forces led by General Francisco Franco who was supported by Nazi Germany as well as Fascist Italy. Despite the fact that it had Spanish autonomist ideals as the essential basis, the war was intimately watched around the world mostly as the first main military contest between left-wing forces and the gradually more influential and intensely armed Fascists.
The war was a civil war and a revolution. It could not finish until the country had been transformed either into a Fascist or into a socialist state.....
