Belief in God
Muslim belief in One God "Allah" Who has no children, no family, no parents. He has more than 99 other venerated names, such as "The Merciful", "The Gracious", and "The-All Powerful"
In Christianity God is three God (Father, Son, Holy Spirit) one in essence and substance merged in one God. This one God is called a "Trinity." All three parts of Trinity are "coequal", "co-eternal" and the "same substance.
Messenger of God
Muslim belief on Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) as the Messenger of God and who ever do not believe is not considered as Muslim.
Whereas Christians believe on Jesus as Messenger of God who is the second member of the Triune God, the Son of the first part of the Triune God, and at the same time "fully" God in every respect.
Sacred Text
Muslims believe in "The Holy Book Quran", which is the last book send to mankind by Allah. It was given the distinction of being personally guarded by God from human tampering. No human till today has ever been able to meets it challenge " to write a work similar to it."
Christians believe Old and New Testaments "The Bible" contains the revelation of God's Word.
Other Written Authority
For Muslims other written authority is Hadith whereas for Christians it is church fathers, church councils, papal, decrees .
And the religious law for Muslims is Sharia and for the Christians it is Canon Law.
Salvation
In Islam:
. Salvation comes by work
. Personal righteousness is weighed against personal sin, which ever is greater determines salvation,
. A Muslim can be forgiven by repenting of sin,
. Paradise is assured for one who dies as a martyr for Islam,
. One becomes a Muslim by confessing "There is no other god but Allah; and Muhammad is the Prophet of God" (la ilaha ill'Allah, Muhammad rasul Allah) from the heart......
