Technology and its role in education, especially that of computers and its related peripherals, have taken staggering leaps and have permeated in all avenues of human lives. Whether conducting business transactions or communicating to a personal correspondence, life without technological gazettes is quite unimaginable. However, technological use in educational field can be two-faced: it can be beneficial for the young learning mind or can leave a hazardous impact.
Most young people cannot agree with arguments that schools should limit technology use. For them, Internet, for example, is crucial in developing many skills. From giving information to developing their relationships with their peers, their families, and their schools. Many young people and their parents are of the opinion that use of the Internet enhances the social life and assists in the academic work of students. According to a survey of U.S department of commerce Internet within itself is becoming a necessity in our information society. More Americans than before are logging online to conduct their daily routine activities as education, business transactions, personal correspondence, research and information-gathering, and job searches. With every passing year, being digitally connected is becoming ever more critical to economic and educational advancement and community participation. Therefore people who lack access to these technological tools are at a disadvantage. Hence attempts should be made to raise the level of digital addition by increasing the number of people using the technology tools of the digital age is a very important.
Teaching styles are changing and is becoming a more difficult job, because of many expectations of the society from younger generation. The information age we are living in overload with the expectation that students will learn high-level skills such as how to access, evaluate, analyze, and synthesize vast quantities of information. At the same time, teachers are evaluated by their ability to have students pass tests that often give no value to these abilities.......
