Essay on Today's youth Crime & Punishment
Juvenile crime is a problem in American society today. Some believe the best action to take against these teens is to throw them in jail and forget about them. Juveniles need a second chance in life, too many young offenders are being put into jail along with the hardened teenage criminals. If teens are given outlets they will not have to find something bad to do. Teenagers need more social facilities for enjoyment and rehabilitation to abolish teenage crime. When the damage has already been done by a teenager there are different alternatives for rehabilitation. Many cities and states are looking for better alternatives for juvenile offenders besides the adult correctional centers. In recent years studies have shown that good quality pre-school programs have been shown to be very effective years later in reducing both the amount of incidence and the severity of criminal behavior of juveniles.....
