Essay on Children with Behavioral Problems In the Daycare Center
Child care workers live with the reality that there is no perfect substitute for a family in raising a child; but while parents are at work, away, or otherwise unavailable, responsibility for the care and supervision of their children is a serious concern, and there are great possibilities for personal fulfillment in any career of service to young people.
Rewarding” is how most child care workers describe their jobs, and the joy of helping children grow is one of its most appealing features. A number of childcare workers are hired by government agencies and large corporations to run in-house daycare centers. Many parents like daycare centers because they offer a formal, structured environment. At young age children are not able to tell us about their problems like what specifically needs to be fixed. Yet it is our job as teachers/caretakers to try to correct the serious problems at least. As the teacher is subjected to look after every kind of child brought in, it is found that children having behavioral problem are the most difficult to handle. Every kid suffers from one kind of behavioral problem or other. “Dealing calmly with children when they misbehave is important. But sometimes we still feel angry. Children are accurate observers of body language so they are aware of your anger.
The teacher should be good at arts, games, poetries, narrating stories and cooking. Drawing, coloring and painting pictures of animals, clowns and imaginative dream houses is quite helpful in diverging the child’s disturbing thoughts. Young girls usually love to draw and color images of fairies and princess, while boys always go for pictures such as cars, robotic heroes or action cartoon figures.....
