According to the bible angels have been created by God to fulfill the commands of God. This is present in the first chapter of the bible, which clearly states the Hebrew word - MAL'AK {mal-awk'}, which means to dispatch as a deputy.
The responsibilities levied on angels have therefore been derived from the Hebrews, and they are that the angels are representatives and messengers of God.
Angels are considered as servants of God, as they could even take the shape of man to pass on a message of God to a human. History has witnessed proofs of it as when an angel was sent to Daniel from God. That is, an angel was sent by God in response to Daniel's prayer.
Another example that can be considered of angels acting as messengers was after the resurrection of Jesus. Angels have always fulfilled the commands of God, at all times, although man has not been aware of it.
