In 2019, we have started to see the results of educational technology transformation. School education is available 24 x 7 and is "learner-centric," rather than instructor-biased. Rather than being viewed as a separate event, learning is now integrated into our everyday lives with the current one-size-fits-all model replaced by "my education, my way."
Learning has become much more flexible and personalized. Ten year back, education had primarily been self-paced or delivered either face to face in a classroom environment. As each method has its own advantages and disadvantages, blended solutions are the norms, not the exception. I think we would all agree that learning never ends; why should instruction end? As we separate out the collaboration from the underlying content, learners are able to continue their education through emails, chats, discussion groups, tutorials, etc. once the formal instruction has ended.
