Harley David son was started by Bill Harley and Arthur W. Davidson, in Milwaukee around 1903. The first motorcycle that was produced was the single cylinder designed by Davidson. The motorcycle primarily served the purpose of racing.
People then enjoyed fast cars and motorcycle and it was considered a great task to race and especially with a motorcycle. Hence this single cylinder came in to serve the purpose and to full fill Americas racing pleasure.
It was not very soon that the company had gone into production and a warehouse was hired so as to accommodate around twenty people who worked to produce Americas riding machine. Soon the Harleys started following the time trend and started introducing stronger and faster machines and by the end of 1910, Harley Davidson was producing their new twin cylinder motorcycle. The business boomed and the ride became in demand, but the sole purpose was still racing.
By the end of first decade Harley Davidson marked their products with their beautiful Shield and Bar logo bearing the names of Bill Harley and Arthur W. Davidson announcing loud and wild HARLEY DAVIDSON. These two gentlemen took their production into mass production, and was a race machine producer company that also got to be known as "The Wrecking Crew".
