Genre: It fits in all genres, but wonderful cinematography makes it particularly an art film. Casablanca is a classic romantic melodrama of two men who are in love with the same woman. The film has romantic as well as political settings of a conflict between democracy and dictatorship.
Actors Acting: The acting and characters in the film are remarkable. With terrific dialogues it gives the magical perfection to the film with lost love, admiration, sense of duty, sacrifice and romantic feelings.
The lighting & Music:
The music by Max Steiner is superb and increases the suspense and plays according to the love emotions. It improves the overall scenes and acting.
Cameraman of the film was Arthur Edeson, the member of American Society of Cinematographers, was very experienced in operating movie cameras.
The picture of the film is very powerful, eye-catching, and modernistic. In some scenes camerawork calls for realistic view of the image, while at other pictures of the scenes it must be not very clear to elude the realism.
