Essay on Liberalism vs. Marxism
The liberalism is a vast term that is used to explain the philosophy of the enlightenment. This philosophy explains the perimeters of political power and favors individual rights. The liberalism has developed over period of time and at present is classified as political, social and economical liberalism. The economical liberalism supports the concept of free market and set of laws for market. The liberalism promotes the property rights and competitive economy. The Marxism on the other hand is the economical social and political philosophy that is based on socialism. The class struggle is the basis of suppressing the capitalism. The concepts of Marxism philosophy generally represent a new form of materialism that is associated with working class struggle for equality in distribution of resources.
The Marxism denies the inequalities in the social set up that is based on the formal rights. The resources are distributed unfairly based on the incorrect wealth distribution. Those having more money have the right to use the facilities but the equal conditions to earn the money are not provided by the liberalism. Therefore the concept of private ownership becomes the basis of capitalism and liberalism. Marxism is not against the personal and private ownership but this shall be based on the just distribution.
It is in the same context that the social inequalities also include weak justice system of liberalism. The capitalism is considered to be unjust because it exploits and estrange the workers and does not provide them the required rewards out of the profits [Michel Roberts]. The liberalism provides the opportunities in the society where wealth is polarized and antagonistic classes are created. A special class of people enjoys political and social and economic powers. The liberalism is considered to be the commercialized mass culture and is associated with exploitation that is measured in form of the product made by the humans.................
