Essay on Personal Portrait
Who am I? A fleshy compound or a spiritual being? It is not that easy to delineate myself when I have already perplexed about the purpose of my being in this universe and what really I am required to fulfill? Taking my own personality in the light of psychological theories and existing assumptions, the theories of Piaget and to some extent of Freud are examples of such organismically oriented ideas that may somehow help in portraying myself in black and white. In contrast, the mechanistic position stresses quantitative change and the active contribution of processes lying outside the primary control of my organism (e.g., in the external stimulus environment) as the major source of development.
