Management means getting work done by people effectively and efficiently. Basically, management is the art or tact of getting things done through others, the way we want them to do. It aims at achieving organizational objectives through a group of people. The term manager may refer to a number of different people within a business. Some job titles include the word manager, such as a Personnel Manager or Managing Director. The employees or personnel in a business that help it achieve its goal are known as ‘Human Resource Management.’ In order to have a successful and profitable business organization, the human resources play a pivotal role in the process. This is because when a business is being set up, and even when it is operating utter importance needs to be placed on hiring the right work force that is to get the suitable person for every job. Corporate efficiency results in profitability and an organization will be efficient only when its employees are suitable for the designated posts. It is therefore the responsibility of the human resource department / personnel department of the organization to recruit ‘the right people for the right jobs.’ This means a business person or even a large firm needs to set up an effective human resource department to run profitably.
