Culture organizes the societies of the world we live in. It is used by politicians, theologians, academics, and more than any other group, by every basic family unit existing in all nations. It is used to enforce and to guarantee discipline and order. However, we must accept that the fundamentals of our culture undergo changes with time as our requirements dictate.
Accordingly, a threat to our culture becomes a threat to our God, or our ancestors, hence threatening the very essence of our identity. This inciting formula has always been present to justify and support some of the most awful acts committed by Mankind in the history of our world and civilizations.
The World has gone through various changes; there was the Great Depression, the Cold War Period, and the Space Age; Today, the Phenomenon that is International communication is aptly titled “The Era of Globalization”. This describes the economic, cultural and political environment of the globe we live in today.
Many analysts have studied and written about the phenomenon of “Globalization”. Their studies and writings either totally condemn globalization, or dismiss the theories and analysis against globalization as ignorant. There are economic theories connecting trade and immigration to the labor market. Some theories prove that the American perceptions on trade policy are consistent with economic theories and the labor market codes of the present.
Although, some people may feel that globalization is merely a term used for commerce conducted on an international level, it is much more than merely that.
