Essay on Holistic Nursing
Holistic nursing comprises of those practices in nursing, which is aimed at the healing of a person as a whole from birth to death. This practice acknowledges two viewpoints concerning holism: one is that it identifies interrelationships of sociological, biological and spiritual extent of an individual having a synergy effect and the second is that it caters to the comprehension that the person is an entity that is in constant interaction with its surroundings. Energy plays a key role in the whole process of holistic nursing and the energy is either derived from things from the environment or from another person. However, this view is contrary to the conventional medicinal setup and does not give any credit to the vibratory effect created by the process. Nevertheless, many practitioners are hopeful that there will be a paradigm shift in the medicine field and a time when the medical practice would integrate the theories of holistic therapies, such as vibration and energy therapies.
McTaggart (2001) in his book 'The Field', sum up a number of the mainly contemporary investigation into energy fields in addition to the integration from the prior researches in the field.
