Oil, gas, water, minerals, wood and many other natural resources were abundant on earth. There are places where a few of these natural resources are abundant and at the same places some are scarce, rather there is a dearth. For instance, in desert areas, there is abundant oil and rich gas fields, where as there is acute scarcity of water.
All over the planet earth, the distribution of the natural resources is haphazard. Some parts are so rich in water that every year there are severe deathly floods while some parts are so frozen that life forms are hardly see, some are the hottest making the growth of vegetation improbable and some are the coolest making the fauna and flora hard to grow. Some parts of Earth are rich in natural resources that stimulate their economy, while in some parts these natural resources case their economy to deteriorate, like the floods in Bangladesh.
Why is it that the natural resources on the plant Earth are not evenly distributed? Many, many years back, these were, in fact evenly distributed. However, as man made advancements and progress, these natural resources became scarcest in populated areas and abundant in places where the homo sapiens did not feel fit to accommodate, like in the North of the globe.
Given this explanation, when any one says that what difference would it make if he or she does not conserve energy (as energy is quite abundant on Earth), I just wish to shake up that person from top to bottom and let him see where we are headed. There are many seminars and recently there was a world conference held in Africa that discussed that water, which is the most abundant natural resource over earth, is going to get scarce. The thought of water getting scarce......
