As the CEO of the company I have come up with a plan that addresses the problem the company is facing currently. Leadership is the ability to positively influence people and systems under one's authority to have a meaningful impact and achieve important results. It implies the right to exercise authority and the ability to achieve results. Strong leadership is necessary to successfully implement a quality process. We as leaders may seek to motivate our employees and develop enthusiasm for quality with rhetoric, but taking strong, decisive, and personal action to implement quality changes makes a bigger impression on employees. The strategy is the pattern of decisions that determines and reveals our company's goals, policies and plans to meet the needs of its stakeholders. As we have the authority and responsibility to influence people and systems, they hold key positions as decision-makers and motivators in making and carrying out the organization's plans. Envisioning the organizations future and developing procedures and operations for making it happen is the essence of strategic planning, which generally requires strong, participative leadership.
Key roles as senior executives play as leaders include are: defining and communicating business direction, goals and expectations; performance review, evaluation and problem-solving; creating a stimulating work environment; soliciting and using customer feedback; developing a motivating climate for employees and recognizing contributions; and providing honest feedback. As these keys empower and encourage employees to participate in quality improvement efforts, and develop cross-functional teamwork and customer-supplier partnerships. They must be willing to follow their own intuition and make difficult decisions that will help the organization to be successful. They must be able to identify their own strengths and weaknesses, and understand their relationships with employees and within the organization.
