The paper will discuss the concept of atonement and the contribution, which the Hebrews theology makes to our understanding of atonement. The noetic and systematic study of religion and its influences, to describe the nature of religious truth is defined as theology. The act of atoning for sin or wrongdoing is described under the beliefs and the norms, which have been made by the religious scholars by Hebrews.

The theology or concept of Hebrews is the representative of the beliefs and customs, which are made for the Hebrews on the whole. “Atonement is commonly defined as the reparation of a broken relationship that exists between God and His people but which is restored through the death and resurrection of His Son Jesus Christ” (Theology of atonement).

The relationship between the God and the human being is closely observed, hence the Hebrew’s theology has also kept this point into consideration and the theologists have included the relative viewpoints, which have eventually formed the basic beliefs of Hebrews.
