If you talked to a person that lived in the past and you told them that in the future they would be able to send men in to space for days and they would be able to stay on the moon, they would think you would be crazy. All the things that we have now have been dreams for people long ago. They would never think that we would be building a space station where people can live in. Maybe one day in the future people in that time will think that all the things they have in there time have been dreams to people that lived before them. They might be able to travel in light speed to a different place in the galaxy? (Dooling, Sharpe, 71-77)
Since the beginning of time people have thought about going to the moon or going to other planets. In the old days traveling in space was just science fiction that was just found on TV shows or the movies, but now it is reality. Most of the space technology that was made had to evolve during time so it can get better, it had to learn from its mistakes. Right now over 100 space probes have been sent into space and they keep sending more and more up in space because the old ones break so they have to send new ones to take their place.
There are many reasons why there is an interest in going into space. Many people want to step foot on Mars. They collect samples, and study the relationship between the material on Mars, and the Earth. Space stations are built with a dream that one-day people will be able to live in outer space.
