Despite of the widespread notion that the crime rate in the United States has considerably declined in the last few years, it is evident from several reports of law enforcement agencies that the crime rate in the United States is still considerably high as compared to the other industrialized nations.

The meaning of the juvenile court system is to take a bit fatherly and protective approach toward children, whether to present humanitarian assistance or parental punishment.  Juvenile court was primarily established though by a desire to keep away children from prisons by establishing special juvenile court that would not send children to prison.
