Introduction
The originations according to their various functions in are generally divided in to two categories, the government organizations (public) and non-government organizations (private). The government organizations differ in structures, functions and many other aspects from the non-government organizations. The non-government organizations include private organizations that are both domestic and multinational.
The organizations in government and private sectors are organized according to the role of the organization. The roles dictate the requirement of the structure to be adopted. However these organizations differ considerably in the styles and working environments. The organizations associated with public sector have specific functions to perform. In Private sector the organizations have different role to play. In organizing the structures whether in public or in private sector the enterprise objectives have to be established along with supporting objectives, policies and plans.
Once the classification and identification of the activities is done the grouping of these activities in the light of resources is done. Once the grouping is done the organizational structure is set up in form of the out line. The groups are then provided with command and supervision hierarchy necessary to perform the tasks. Then the groups are linked together both vertically and horizontally to give a final shape to the organization.
All the organizations however have multidimensional activities and there are lot of common activities in the public and private organizations as well. Much are in contrast because of the basic purpose for the establishing the particular organization. The differences occur in almost all fields of the working and the structures. The multinational firms work in varied cultures and environments.
The aims and objectives vary and the organizational activities also have quite a lot of varied styles. There is a long list of contrasts and differences between the two organizations that have been discussed.......
