Apparently slightly more than a stripy material, the American flag is for countless people an authoritative symbol of the United States representative of every right and concession endowed by the Constitution, and all values that holds the American democratic organization jointly. It is soaked in sentiments, memory, and knowledge. The Pentagon and the World Trade Center are also powerful symbols, of financial and armed might. Terrorists during the September 11 attacks targeted them for the reason that they are respected symbols around which the psyche of the country is tightly wrapped. The World Trade Center represented the elite and the powerful; its tenants were household names. It was the financial hub of the country, and even, some would squabble, the world. (Bijal P. Trivedi)
According to deliberations at the yearly fall meeting of the Urban Land Institute (ULI) held in Boston, Massachusetts on October 3-6, 2001, reconstruction of the World Trade Center is before now in the preliminary planning stages. As rebuilding is now close to certainty, the matter becomes whether or not the World Trade Center should be rebuilt accurately as it was before, or should it be something exclusively different? To answer this, it is essential to consider human nature in constructing and reconstructing imperative architectural symbols, for the reason that conscious efforts can be employed to incorporate key core values and ideas represented by the original form of the World Trade Center. It is also important to consider the fact that there are many individuals with opposing ideas and beliefs that the towers should either not be rebuilt in the same location; the towers should be rebuilt exactly as they were before; or the location should be devoted entirely to a memorial park. Addressing the rational and architectural reasons why these ideas are not viable will help.......
