The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works is using a software named Accela for the Office Automation and the Group Collaboration System this the County formalized its selection of Accela’s Kiva DMS, a Office Automation and the Group Collaboration System that will be used to reorganize the activities in the Public Works department.

The system will handle the department’s domestic operations, give public access to authorize and examination information, preserve real estate records, and make easy emergency reply procedures. This software helps the Los Angeles County in automating or computerizes schedule office tasks Office automation systems can be used by workers and managers at all levels of the County.
Los Angeles County has devoted time and resources to arranging its workers with the knowledge and perception to effectively utilize the solution. The County has devoted the use of 3 classrooms, each fully equipped with fifteen computers to provide concrete training. There are four levels of users in this system:

Super user
System administrator
End user
Trainer

Main Administrator: This user will acts as management and key, forefront personnel, who know the County's business processes, have previously participated in a preliminary training course. This person has all the right to run the system, like make system administrator rights, role assigning right etc.

System Administrator: IT staff and departmental IT coordinators in charge for maintaining the system will get instruction on how to configure the system and how to perform administrator tasks such as security implementation, etc.

Normal user: This type of users includes users like staff such as receivable personnel, schedule checkers, examiners, and managers, they are being trained to use the system and implement. These persons will have only limited rights in the system like Permit Inspection, Permit Intake, and Permit Plan Check....................
