United Parcel Service, Inc. is the world's biggest package delivery company, delivering over 14 million packages a day to more than two hundred countries worldwide. It has just expanded its operations to contain logistics and other transportation-related areas. It is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.

UPS is recognized by its brown trucks, inside famous as package cars as the company nickname is Big Brown, and from time to time, because of its NASCAR-related commercials, the brown color that UPS uses on its vehicles and uniforms is called Pullman brown, after the railroad sleeper cars created by George Pullman, which used the same color. UPS also has its own airline to operate.

History of revolution
UPS has been in the package delivery business for 95 years, providing services to businesses and consumers around the world in more than 200 countries. During 1994, UPS started to examine the potential of e-commerce and started an internal group focused on enabling e-commerce. UPS redefined its core business and found ways to change its structure and procedures, shaping new businesses to get benefits of new opportunities.
Main participants including United States Postal Service (USPS), FedEx, and DHL, previously, UPS just faced competition from USPS for the cheap ground based delivery market. On the other hand, FedEx just expanded into the ground market by obtaining RPS that is originally Roadway Package System and re branded it as FedEx Ground. As well, DHL acquired Airborne Express. This achievement considerably increases DHL's presence in the U.S. which will gain more competition to the ground delivery market.
